Patrick Dougherty - Stick Work Combining his carpentry skills with his love for nature, Patrick Dougherty began to learn more about primitive techniques of building and to experiment with tree saplings as construction material.
I've built, painted and torched the frame; spent weeks going through every drawer, bucket and bin in my studio looking for just the right bits and bobs and here it sits unloved. I don't like this piece at all and have no idea what it's future will be, but I thought I'd share it anyway. Enjoy.

Tami, I'm sorry you don't like this very much, but i totally do! To me, there's a cityscape on the left and a barge coming in on the right with some water bubbles. The frame is awesome and it almost looks like a stage curtain at the top. Live the metal and the yellow. Just my non-expert opinion, but i love it! :)
